Sugared Prosecco Grapes are sweet, crunchy, boozy and incredibly festive. This fun Halloween treat requires only 3 ingredients and it’s super easy to make!
These tasty Prosecco infused grapes are one of the Halloween recipes I make every single year. As much as I love candy and all the sweet Halloween desserts, having a refreshing, cool, lightly sweet and mildly boozy Halloween treat on the menu is always a good idea.
These candied grapes can also be made kid friendly by soaking them in white grape juice or apple juice instead of bubbly Prosecco. Actually they are so easy to make that you may as well make two batches – a boozy one and a virgin one – and make everyone happy!
Halloween Sugared Prosecco Grapes Ingredients
- Seedless Grapes – I like using green grapes because the sugar covers their light color a bit better.
- Prosecco – I chill the Prosecco before using it. You can use champagne or any sweet wine as well.
- Sanding Sugar and/or Sparkling Sugar – I use both types of sugars. Sparkling sugar is a bit coarse and makes the grapes look like little jewels. I used orange, black and purple
How To Make Sugared Prosecco Grapes
Making prosecco-infused candied grapes is one of the easiest Halloween recipes you will ever make. Here are the simple steps.
- Wash the grapes and remove them from the stems.
- Soak the grapes in prosecco or juice.
- After soaking, drain the grapes. Do not dry them as they need to be wet for the sugar to stick.
- Place each color of sanding or sparkling sugar on a plate.
- Roll the grapes in the sugar until they are completely coated.
- Place the candied grapes on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and let them dry for about 5 to 10 minutes.
How Long Should I Soak The Grapes?
You can soak the grapes for as little as 30 minutes or overnight. Keep in mind that the longer you soak them, the more flavor they absorb.
What Kind of Grapes Should I use?
You can use any type of grape you like as long as they are seedless.
Halloween Candied Grapes Recipe Tips
- Give these candied grapes an extra boozy kick by adding 1/4 cup of vodka to the Prosecco.
- For a stronger boozy and fruity taste, combine the prosecco with 1/4 cup of Apple Bourbon.
- Use coarse sugar for a super crunchy treat.
- Some sanding sugars may stain your fingers. You may want to wear gloves when making these recipe.
- I chose purple coarse sugar, aka sprinkles (yes, they look a bit blue in the photo), and orange and black sanding sugar to make this recipe.
- You can refrigerate or freeze the sugared coated grapes before serving them. They make for a cool and refreshing treat (and midnight snack).

Would you mind if we use this on our Fresh Acres Market FB and IG pages? We will link directly to your website on FB and have a linkin.bio page for IG. We have a great grape sale coming up and this would be perfect!

Not a problem as long as you don’t publish the recipe. Thanks!

Made this for Halloween and it was a success. Super easy. We used three different types of grapes and made a batch with juice for the little ones. TY

These look cute, but how do they stand up to being made ahead of time? Does the sugar just fall off once the dry? Id like to make these for our dessert night, the day after Thanksgiving, but could I make them in the morning so I don’t have a sugar-coated-counter disaster as guests are arriving?
Kathy says
Hi Nedra, yes you can make them ahead. The morning of the event is perfect. Magically 🙂 the sugar doesn’t fall off as it’s stuck to the wet grape. I actually kept mine in the refrigerator overnight and they were good and cold! You can also freeze them. Enjoy!!!
