My family loves smoothies, fruit juices, yogurt drinks and milkshakes. This coconut, pineapple and strawberry Lava Flow is probably one of the most requested drinks at my house!
Since citrus are plentiful at the market, I decided to make this Orange Honey Lassi. Needless to say it was a huge hit! My husband said the flavor reminded him of an Orange Julius and my son shouted orange creamsicle!
What is Lassi
Lassi is a yogurt based drink from India. Lassis come in many flavors, from sweet to savory. Some savory ones include spices like cumin and coriander. As for sweet lassis, fruits, sugar, honey and even nuts are used.
How To Make Lassi
- It’s as easy as adding all the ingredients to a blender! Blend well and you are done.
- Feel free to adjust the honey to your taste.
- You can use any type of yogurt. I usually get low fat for this drink but even a thick Greek yogurt works well.
- Be adventurous and add other flavorings. Cinnamon, ginger, vanilla and turmeric are great options.

Orange Honey Lassi
Ingredients
- 12 ounces plain yogurt
- Zest of one orange
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 tablespoons honey, plus more to taste
- 8 ice cubes
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients in a blender jar.
- Blend until smooth. Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding extra honey if needed.
