Kahlua Dalgona Coffee (Whipped Coffee) with instant espresso and chocolate drizzle is a rich, decadent and delicious Kahlua coffee recipe sure to become a new favorite!
You may call this Kahlua Whipped Coffee a spiked coffee, a cocktail or a boozy dessert but early on a Sunday, before the clock reaches noon, I call this morning coffee!
This tasty cocktail is somewhat similar to a White Russian although the inspiration for this Dalgona coffee recipe came from the decadent Italian dessert Tiramisu. One of my favorite coffee flavored desserts.
What Is Dalgona Coffee?
Dalgona coffee is a fluffy and frothy Korean coffee that became popular in America through social media. It was such a hit on Tik Tok that some call it TikTok coffee. Make your morning coffee extra special with this 3 – ingredient Whipped Coffee recipe.
Whipped Kahlua Coffee
Make your spiked coffee extra special with a dollop of fluffy whipped espresso! This Kahlua coffee is not super boozy or strong. Of course, you can add more Kahlua if you would like a stiffer drink.
Kahlua Dalgona Coffee Ingredients
- Instant Espresso Powder: I’ve been using the same brand of espresso powder for years. Feel free to use your favorite brand.
- Granulated Sugar: You can use other sugars like brown sugar, sugar on the raw, etc. As for sweeteners, you must use granulated sweeteners. Stevia in the raw and Monk fruit are good options.
- Hot Water: Even if making this an iced coffee drink, you need to use hot water to make the whipped coffee mixture.
- Sweetened Condense Milk: This gives this coffee recipe it’s rich consistency and adds a little sweetness to balance the Kahlua.
- Kahlua: This coffee liquor is made with rum and vanilla. Many desserts like the popular tiramisu are made with this tasty spirit.
- Half and Half and Milk: I use both, however you can make this frothy coffee with only milk for a less rich creamy coffee.
- Fudge Sauce: I love to drizzle chocolate sauce all over the inside of the glass for a little extra decadence – and the look is great too!
How To Make Whipped Coffee
This frothy Kahlua Whipped Coffee may look like one of those fancy drinks you get at a nice restaurant or bar, but this coffee cocktail is quick and easy to make. I recommend you use an electric mixer just to speed up the process.
- Place equal parts of instant espresso, sugar and hot water in a bowl.
- Beat with a hand mixer until fluffy and frothy. I like to scrape the sides of the bowl with a spatula a couple of times just to keep things neat!

- Pour in the sweetened condensed milk.
- Pour in the Kahlua.

- Pour in the milk.
- Top with the whipped coffee mixture. Serve with a straw (or spoon) for stirring.
