Turns out almost none of you use the little AI buttons on our recipes – the ones that scale a recipe or swap an ingredient for you. A good number of you didn’t even know they were there.
The few who do use them, though – one explained it perfectly: “I’m not good at mathematics.” That’s exactly the job that button did, quietly scaling recipes so you didn’t have to. But one happy cook isn’t reason enough to keep something almost no one else was using.
So – message received, and I took them down. I’m a chef, not a tech company: use AI if it helps you, that’s your call, but I’m not going to nudge you toward it. That’s just not what this place is for.
A few of you had also spotted the “add us as a trusted source” button but weren’t sure what it did. When I asked what would get you to use it, the answer was blunt: knowing it’s free and easy. Done. So my team built a plain-English page that says exactly that – it’s a quick Google setting that identifies the sites you trust (mine, sure – but any of them) in your search results, instead of whatever Google picks for you.
And when I asked what you want more of? More than half of you landed in the same place: everyday dinners, made a little better, and quick weeknight meals that actually come together. Not fussy. Not fancy. Just good. That’s my favorite kind of cooking, too – so you’ll be seeing more of it.
This is the part I love most: you tell me something, and I get to do something about it. So keep the notes coming – and pull up a chair anytime.
Happy cooking, Kathy 🍋
