Strawberry Margaritas

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen whole strawberries
  • 4 ounces 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4-5 limes)
  • 8 ounces 1 cup tequila
  • 4 ounces 1/2 cup Grand Mariner, Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 2 ounces agave nectar or simple syrup or to taste, optional

Garnishes:

  • Coarse Kosher salt or margarita salt
  • Limes
  • Strawberries

Instructions

  1. Glasses: Run a small wedge of lime around the outer rim of the glasses. Fill a shallow bowl with salt, and dip the rim in the salt until it is covered with your desired amount of salt. Set aside.
  2. Add the frozen strawberries, lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur and agave nectar into a blender. Blend until smooth. Taste and add more tequila or agave nectar if desired.
  3. Pour the blended strawberry margarita into the prepared glass. Garnish with a slice of lime and strawberry, sliced or whole (optional).
