I have made this recipe several times and I finally decided to leave a comment. It is a wonderful dish we all love....The topping is so tasty and crunchy.

INGREDIENTS

Pecan

Pretzels

Sweet Potatoes

Mini Marshmallows

Almond

Prick the sweet potatoes with a fork and roast them until tender.

Melt the butter in a skillet and cook it until golden brown.

Carefully add the bourbon and let it cook for a few minutes.

Stir in sugar, cinnamon and ginger and cook for a few minutes.

Peel the sweet potatoes and mash them until smooth.

Stir in the brown butter mixture and mix until well combined.

Transfer the sweet potato mixture into a baking dish.

To prepare the topping, melt the butter in a skillet.

Stir in the sugar, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Cook for a few minutes.

Stir in the pecans, almonds and the pretzels, mix well and remove from the heat.

Pour the topping over the sweet potatoes, sprinkle marshmallows and bake for 12 minutes.

Serve and enjoy!

You can use orange juice instead of bourbon, if you prefer.
