Apple Upside Down Cake

Made this over the weekend for a quick brunch with the neighbors. It was so easy and we loved it!

INGREDIENTS

Apples

Granulated Sugar

Light Brown Sugar

Butter

Sour Cream

Ground Cinnamon

Vanilla Extract

In a large skillet, melt the butter, add the peeled apples and brown sugar.

Stir in the lemon juice and ground cinnamon, and toss well.

Arrange the caramelized apples on a prepared greased cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk the dry ingredients.

In a large bowl, whisk both sugars and eggs.

Slowly whisk in the melted butter.

Add the sour cream and vanilla and whisk to combine.

Add the flour mixture and mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the pan and spread evenly over the apples.

Bake and let it cool on a wire rack before unmold.

Serve and enjoy!

Keep all your ingredients at room temperature so the cake batter mixes better and more evenly.
