Furikake Recipe

If you’ve ever wondered how Japanese rice tastes so flavorful with just a sprinkle of seasoning, the answer is often furikake.

Salt

INGREDIENTS

Sesame Oil

+

Soy Sauce

+

Sugar

+

Sesame Seeds

+

Nori Sheets

+

Black Sesame Seeds

Cut each nori sheet into thin strips and set aside.

Toast the white sesame seeds, shaking the pan frequently until fragrant.

Stir in the black sesame seeds, salt, sugar, and any optional seasonings  (except the nori).

Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until aromatic.

Cool the mixture in a baking sheet, and then stir in the nori pieces.

Enjoy!

You can store it up to 2 weeks refrigerated or up to 4 months at room temperature.
