Dirty Soda Recipes

Ingredients

Classic Dirty Soda

  • 1 cup ice
  • 12 ounces cola, Diet Coke, or Coke Zero
  • 1 tablespoon coconut syrup
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons half-and-half, or heavy cream
  • Lime, wedge, for garnish

Cherry Dirty Soda

  • 1 cup ice
  • 12 ounces cola, or Dr Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cherry syrup, or grenadine
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice, fresh
  • 2 tablespoons half-and-half, or heavy cream
  • Maraschino cherries, or fresh cherries, for garnish

Dirty Dr Pepper

  • 1 cup ice
  • 12 ounces Dr Pepper, or Diet Dr Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon coconut syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice, fresh
  • 2 tablespoons half-and-half, or heavy cream
  • lime, wedge, cherry, for garnish

Orange Cream Dirty Soda

  • 1 cup ice
  • 12 ounces orange soda
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup
  • 2 tablespoons half-and-half, or heavy cream
  • orange, wedge, for garnish

Blueberry Dirty Soda

  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 can lemon-lime soda, such as Sprite or 7UP
  • 1 tablespoon blueberry syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup, optional but delicious
  • 1 tablespoon half-and-half, heavy cream, coconut cream, or vanilla coffee creamer
  • blueberries, fresh, and/or lemon slice, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  2. Pour the soda over the ice.
  3. Add the flavored syrup and citrus or fruit juice.
  4. Slowly pour the cream over the top.
  5. Stir gently to combine, leaving some of the creamy swirl visible.
  6. Garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Dirty soda is best served right away while the soda is cold and fizzy.
  • Start with 1 tablespoon syrup, then add more to taste if you prefer a sweeter drink.
  • For a richer drink, use heavy cream. For a lighter drink, use half-and-half.
  • For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream or your favorite dairy-free creamer.
  • The tropical version is best with coconut cream, but half-and-half also works.
  • For parties, set up a dirty soda bar with chilled sodas, syrups, citrus wedges, cream, cherries, and plenty of ice.
