Vegan Chocolate Cake

I made this for my family and they were shocked when I told them it was vegan. They loved it!

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS RECIPE?

Besides the fact that this decadent, rich chocolate cake is absolutely delicious, non-vegans can barely tell this is not a regular cake. Yes, it’s that good.

Ingredients

- Cocoa Powder

- Flour

- Almond Milk

- Sugar

- Apple Cider Vinegar

- Coffee

- Applesauce

- Powdered Sugar

Combine the almond milk and vinegar.

Whisk together the dry ingredients.

Add the wet ingredients and mix on medium speed until well combined.

Divide the batter between the two prepared cake pans and bake.

To make the frosting, whisk the cocoa powder, butter and vanilla.

Gradually add the powdered sugar and milk, and beat until smooth.

Cover the top of one of the layers with the chocolate buttercream frosting.

Add the second layer and spread the remaining frosting.

Decorate and chill for 20 minutes before serving.

With this vegan chocolate cake batter you can make 2 dozen cupcakes, a 9×13 sheet pan cake, a bundt cake or a 2 layer 9-inch cake.
