Salted Caramel Apple Pie Bars

Granulated Sugar

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS RECIPE?

This apple pie bar recipe have the same irresistible flavor of a delicious apple pie, yet its easier to make in less time.

Beat the butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.

Combine the dry and wet ingredients.

Press two-thirds of the dough into the baking pan and bake.

Sprinkle chopped pecans and cinnamon into the remaining crust mixture.

Melt butter in a skillet, add the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and bourbon.

Simmer until almost all the liquid has evaporated.

Spread the apple mixture over the pre-baked bottom crust.

Apply the remaining dough to the top of the apples in small pieces and bake.

Once the bars have cooled, drizzle the caramel sauce and slice it.

Serve and enjoy!

If you use bourbon (you can skip it), don’t worry about alcohol content. It evaporates  leaving only aroma and a hint of flavor.
