Homemade Refried Beans

INGREDIENTS

Onion

Garlic

Dried Oregano

Beans

+

Water

Salt

Soak the beans overnight.

For the stove top method:

Cook the pre-soaked beans with the rest of ingredients in a stockpot.

Sauté the onions until soft and translucent.

Stir in the cooked and drained beans and cook for about 2 minutes.

Add some of the reserved bean cooking liquid and mash the beans.
