WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS RECIPE?

The combination of cinnamon and cardamom is a perfect match for the orange flavor of the dough and the creamy orange cream cheese icing. These rolls are delicious!

In the bowl of a standing mixer combine the yeast and flour.

1

Stir in the butter, milk, sugar and salt. Microwave the mixture until just warm.

2

Add the milk mixture and lightly beaten eggs to the flour mixture.

3

Add all the flour and keep kneading until dough comes together.

4

Shape dough into a ball, place in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap.

5

Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubles in size.

6

To make the filling, stir together the butter, cinnamon, cardamom, orange zest and sugar.

7

Roll dough in a rectangle leaving a border and spread the filling.

8

Roll up the dough and slice into 12 rolls.

9

Unwrap the side of the dough without the filling and cut it in two strips.

10

Beat 1 egg with water and brush the rolls with egg wash.

11

Bake for 15-20 minutes.

12

Make the cream cheese glaze by beating all the ingredients.

13

Spoon icing over baked rolls.

14

Serve and enjoy!

If you are not a fan of cardamom you can skip it however, cardamom and orange go together like PB&J!
