This date honey or date nectar, it’s a healthy alternative to regular sugar (white sugar), sure to satisfy your sweet tooth with its thick texture and deep caramel-like flavor.

Rinse the dates in a colander under hot water to remove any impurities.

Chop the dates roughly on a cutting board.

Place dates in a pot with water and bring to a boil.

Once boiling, reduce the heat, cover the pot and let it simmer.

Pour the date mixture through the sieve and squeeze.

Pour the date liquid into a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat and simmer until the mixture reduces by half.

Serve and enjoy!

Don't forget that the syrup will continue to thicken as it cools.
