This classic New Orleans dish has layers upon layers of flavor, built with creole style and cajun seasonings. Delicious and a lot easier to make than you may think!

Melt the butter and cook the sausage until golden brown.

Stir in the veggies and cook until softened. Then add the spices.

Stir in the in the rice and tomato paste.

Add tomatoes, pour in the broth and bring to a boil.

Add in the raw shrimp, a portion of the scallions and bake.

When done, garnishing with the remaining scallions.

Serve and enjoy!

It’s important to use the right type of rice which is long-grain white rice. Using short-grain or even Jasmine rice can result in gummy rice instead of fluffy rice.
