Proof your yeast by combining the warm water, yeast and some sugar.

1

Mix the dry ingredients in the bowl of an electric mixer.

2

Pour the yeast mixture, melted butter, egg yolk and vanilla and mix until the dough comes together.

3

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let it double in size.

4

Mix the cinnamon-sugar filling ingredients.

5

Roll the dough into a rectangular shape and spread the butter and cinnamon-sugar on top.

6

Roll up the dough tightly into a cylinder and cut into 6 even rolls.

7

Arrange the cinnamon buns in a greased baking pan cut side down and let them rise.

8

Bake

10

Combine the icing ingredients and mix until the glaze is smooth.

11

Drizzle the glaze over the cinnamon buns.

12

Serve and enjoy!

If your dough seems a bit warm, you can refrigerate it for about 20 minutes before cutting it into rolls. A chilled dough is much easier to slice.
