Oven Braised Brisket

with vegetables

The brisket came out fall apart tender. Good recipe. Cook it low and slow.

INGREDIENTS

Brisket

Paprika

+

Canned Crushed Tomatoes

+

Broth and Beer

+

Dried Oregano

+

Dried Thyme

+

Bay Leaves

+

Salt and Black Pepper

Mix the spice rub ingredients in a small bowl.

Season brisket with spice rub mix .

Sear the meat on both sides until a nice golden crust appears.

Cook the onions until they softened.

Add the carrots, celery and garlic and cook for about 2 minutes.

Stir in the beer, crushed tomatoes, broth and bay leaves.

Place the brisket fatty side up, cover the pot with aluminum foil and bake.

Slice the meat thinly across the grain at a slight diagonal.

Serve and enjoy!

Bake the brisket with the fat cap up so the fat melts into the meat keeping it moist.
