Oven Braised Brisket

This Braised Brisket recipe cooks in the oven until the beef is meltingly tender and perfectly moist.

Canned Crushed Tomatoes

Mix the rub ingredients and season the meat.

Sear the meat on both sides until a nice golden crust appears.

Cook the onions until they softened.

Add the carrots, celery and garlic and cook for about 2 minutes.

Stir in the beer, crushed tomatoes, broth and bay leaves.

Place the brisket fatty side up, cover the pot with aluminum foil and bake.

Slice the meat thinly across the grain at a slight diagonal.
