This turned out so great. Did not make it in a skillet, used a 9×12 pan instead, but the result was perfect. Definitely a keeper.

I chose Granny Smith apples because they hold their shape very well and provide a bit of texture.

This recipe calls for apple cider and broth. I highly recommend you use apple cider and not just plain apple juice.
