Chocolate Tres Leches Cake

Everyone loved this cake. I’ve tried your regular Tres Leches cake recipe and it was also delicious.

Preheat the oven to 350°F. and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

For the cake:

Whisk the dry ingredients in a bowl.

Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites and set aside.

Beat egg yolks and sugar until smooth and creamy.

Add milk and vanilla extract; beat until combined.

Add the dry ingredients and mix until combined.

Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.

Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the cake batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool completely.

Mix together the three milks.

For the milks:

Once the cake has cooled, use a skewer or a fork to poke holes all over the top of the cake.

Slowly pour the chocolate milk mixture over the top of the cake. Allow to chill for two hours or overnight.

Whip the topping ingredients together and spread evenly on top of the cake.
