CAN I MAKE GREEN POZOLE CREAMY?

Yes, to add creaminess to this brothy stew, you can stir 4 ounces of sour cream and 4 ounces of cream cheese into the soup.

Sauté the jalapeños, onions and poblano peppers.

Stir in the garlic and tomatillos and sauté  until the peppers have softened.

Transfer the mixture into a blender and add chicken broth and cilantro.

Return the mixture to the pot and add the remaining broth and seasonings.

Add the chicken, bring to a boil, and simmer until the chicken is tender.

Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and shred it.

Return the chicken to the pot and cook for 10-15 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

You can make this recipe with bone-in chicken, whole chicken cut into pieces, or bone-in chicken thighs or legs. Adjust the cooking time and broth as needed.
