I can’t believe the holidays are behind us and we already started a new year – what?? Time really flies! I’ve been kind of MIA lately but I am ready to get back into the swing of things and share with you all sorts of delicious recipes.
We had a great winter break and spent every possible minute together as a family – well my teen did a lot of online gaming with his friends but overall, we got to enjoy each other and eat lots of food.
Herb Crusted Pork Chops with Apple and Maple Bourbon Glaze
Today, I want to share with you this amazing and easy recipe. What I love the most about this dish is that even though it looks elegant and it packs so much flavor, it takes less than 30 minutes and one-pan to make.
First, we pat dry the bone-in pork chops with paper towels (you can use boneless if you wish). Drizzle a little bit of olive oil and season them with salt, pepper and chopped fresh rosemary and thyme. The fresh herbs add so much flavor to the meat!
After a quick sear (check how golden and gorgeous those pork chops look) we add the glaze ingredients. The glaze is light and has a delicate sweetness from the apple cider and the maple syrup with a nice oomph (that’s a technical term) from the bourbon. It’s not heavy, sticky or overly sweet.
I finish the cooking process in the oven. It will only take a few minutes and the meat and glaze flavors will marry together and forever be happy. Voila! These Herb Crusted Pork Chops with Apple and Maple Bourbon Glaze can’t be any easier and quicker to make!
I serve this delicious Herb Crusted Pork Chops with Apple and Maple Bourbon Glaze with some quick sauteed apples. It’s only a 2-ingredient recipe but I am adding the ingredients and instructions into the main recipe below in case you want to make them. The apples are tender but not mushy and pair incredibly well with the pork.
